BBC Children's are currently looking for 2 experienced Producer Directors to join us working on Amazing Machines.Amazing Machines is back for a second series and we need a team to be on the hunt for MORE amazing machines to be shown off and test driven. Like the first series we will feature machines that go on land, sea and air, all whilst set to an iconic rocking and instantly recognisable energetic soundtrack by The Darkness!The Producer Directors will join the team from mid-June 2019 to mid-November 2019 (exact dates TBC). Role ResponsibilityProducing and Directing exciting location based films featuring various machines, some of which will be at high speeds, whilst adhering to the highest safety standards.Responsible for working closely with Health & Safety, insurance and legal teams to ensure that all shoots are safe and legally compliant to BBC standards.Responsible for scripting and edit producing numerous episodes of the programme.Directing new on-screen talent and achieving the best out of them. Utilising expert knowledge and understanding how to create outstanding content for our pre-school audience.Self-shooting on location. Are you the right candidate?An understanding of and passion for creating content for our young and diverse audiences. Strong background in scripting and an ability to take responsibility for scripting whole episodes. Demonstrable experience edit producing long-form content. Previous experience of working with on-screen talent and an understanding of how to approach working with new talent to achieve the best results. Strong communication skills and an ability to work effectively within a team, as well as develop strong relationships with external stakeholders. Detailed understanding of setting up complex shoots and a sound knowledge of Health & Safety guidelines and legal compliance. Competent self-shooting skills is desirable.Previous experience of and a commitment to positively impacting diversity within the course of a production.
