We are looking for an experienced and confident PD (minimum 3 Fact Ent credits) who is happy to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple shoots at the same time. The successful candidate will be part of a rebooted edition of a tech-focussed magazine show on Channel 5 and while a specialist knowledge of technology is not essential, a layman's understanding of how consumer gadgets work will be helpful. The role requires scripting, directing on location and producing items in the edit, so experience in these areas is also important, please do not apply if you cannot demonstrate an ability to take stories from conception to delivery in previous roles.

While VTs will be crewed, a director who is comfortable to shoot second camera would be an advantage due to the fast turnaround of the schedule.

The production company is located in Birmingham and shoots held across the country (with a heavy focus around the Midlands) so although a local base isn't essential, travel to the shoots is and this should be considered before applying. Planning and editing will be held remotely.
