This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative, growing video content team for a 277-year-old institution. You will have the chance to help film and edit compelling video content.

The ideal candidate is someone who has experience producing, shooting and editing exciting content, who thrives in a fast-paced environment, who is a natural storyteller and is always looking for the best way to tell it-whether that's an Instagram Reel, a YouTube series, or TikTok. This role will work closely with the global Video and Social Media teams, Marketing, and Specialist departments and have the opportunity to shape the digital content future at Sotheby's. This is role is a Temporary role on a consultancy basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Producing, shooting, editing compelling video content for Sotheby's website and social media channels.
* Work with Sotheby's in house video production and social media teams to execute treatments, scripts, storyboards and development of projects.
* Manage Sotheby's in house equipment, including overseeing inventory workflow.
* Coordinate with in house Sotheby's specialist and Operation team to schedule shoots and meet edit deadlines.
* Identify most efficient ways to create video content for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.
* Help audit current video content across Sotheby's video channels and develop platform-specific series concepts.
* Identify cultural connections with the brand and outline ways of engaging through video concepts.
* Partner with cross-functional teams to bring company-wide marketing campaigns to life through social media video.
* Continually explore new channels for Sotheby's to use to grow our social media reach.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
* Minimum 3 years of experience creating & editing media video.
* Experience publishing video content to major social platforms, including but not limited to: Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.
* Proven track record of engaging, efficient and newsworthy video content.
* Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
* Animation editing skills are a plus
* Ideal Candidate will be proficient filming with Sony FX line, in particular the Sony FX9 and FX3.
?? * Ideal Candidate will have experience lighting sets and have knowledge of basic sound mixing.
* Is analytical and highly curious and creative, continually striving to improve his/her skills in the constantly evolving digital and media space; understands how to apply social media insights to future content.
* Possesses strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple, simultaneous priorities.
* Outstanding attention to detail, with a commitment to operational excellence.
* Collaborative and able to work cross-functionally across various levels of colleagues at the firm, building appropriate rapport, using diplomacy and tact
* Has a positive, can-do attitude and wants to be part of a critical team
