JOB OVERVIEW:The Edge Picture Company are looking to recruit an experienced Producer or Senior Production Manager with fluent spoken and excellent written Arabic language skills. Based at our London head office, the role requires some overseas travel to manage projects throughout the Middle East and, in particular, in Saudi Arabia. A proven practical knowledge of working in the region and an in-depth cultural understanding are essential to this role.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Manage film productions from concept to completion, ensuring they remain within budget and on schedule. - Delivery of commissioned films to the satisfaction of the Executive Producer (EP) and client. Delivery includes supervising client approvals and overseeing delivery of final film masters/encodes.- The Producer is the primary production liaison with Clients, and reports directly to the EP.- Working primarily (but not exclusively) with our clients based in the Middle East. A fluent Arabic speaker is essential.- Control over the creative concept, editorial content, style, approach, and script development.- Accurate budgeting and cost control across all production spend.- Hiring of key staff including Writers, Directors, Performance Talent, Production Team, Crew and Post-production Technicians as needed on a job-by-job basis. - Oversee all aspects of production and manage the production team. - Full control over schedules, budgets, cast, locations, filming, post-production and client deliverables.- Ensure compliance with all the relevant codes of practice and health & safety laws. - Control of purchase orders and invoicing. - Organise relevant clearances and licences for talent, music, film usage, etc. - Oversee any language versioning and Arabic/English subtitling where required.- From time to time the candidate will also be required to work on UK projectsSKILLS, QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:- Fluent Arabic speaker with excellent written Arabic capabilities. A written Arabic test will be required at interview stage. - Minimum 6 years' experience in film production delivering a wide range of global projects.- Specific expertise producing films in the Middle East, with a minimum 2 years' experience working in Saudi Arabia.- Up to date knowledge of the latest production and post-production techniques.- Established network of local crew in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. - An experienced budgeter, capable of costing a variety of film genres accurately at all levels.- Financial accountability with full oversight & management of all production spend.- Excellent interpersonal & client management skills.- Highly motivated individual who is able to withstand pressure under stress.- The ability to handle a high level of financial, creative and editorial responsibility.
