Procurement Manager

Park Royal

To support our state of the art studios, a 24 by 7 operation, we seek a qualified professional for this Procurement Manager role.

Introduction

Broadcasting Live from its London based studio headquarters Alaraby Television Network continues its phenomenal growth as an organisation delivering a broad range of programme content, varying from news to entertainment.

Main purpose of the Role

Working with the Senior management team, you will be responsible for optimising the way in which Alaraby TV Network engages with its suppliers to deliver value for money, simplify processes, raise service levels, reduce risks and develop successful relationships.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for leading and managing logistic and procurement team
Planning and implementing and Analysing project costing
Meeting with the Project Managers and stake holders for scope of work or goods breakdown definition and supporting them
Responsible for effective flow of information between team members, participants in project activities,
SLA's for implementation, specification and supports contracts
Responsible for Vendor & contract management of on-going contracts from signing to closure, including management of contract variations, payment applications, management of sub-contractors, participation in contract claims & dispute Settlement.
Responsible to negotiate and sign contracts with clients and to make sure that risks not involved in the contract.
Managing tendering process and awarding contracts, coordinating with contractors for commercial negotiations, cost estimates including billing & claims etc.
Involved in interpreting contractual obligations & rights and evaluation of technical/ financial problems for management reporting.
Insuring adequate liability.
Applying innovative control methods that consistently delivering bottom line savings.
Responsible for contract administration (Main Contracts & Sub-Contracts)
Verifying Sub-Contractors Payments / Claims as per Contract.
Monitoring the PO and Payments of Service, out-sourcing & materials.
Managing P.O
Enforcing Delegation of authority management
Auditing discrepancies
Receiving Goods and registering assets and inventory
Leading team to control stock.
Managing global insurance
Ensure all internal policies and procedures are adhered to
Ensure legal compliance is correct and liaise with necessary stakeholders to ensure that compliance is always reviewed and in place
Ensure all relevant UK legislation is adhered to
Responsible for hospitality management in all properties.

Candidate Profile

Key Skills/ Personal Attributes and Knowledge Required:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Arabic communication skills is desirable
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to create good work relationships with suppliers
Must have excellent leadership skills
Must have supplier and relationship management skills
Ability to multi-task and manage a high work load
Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent skills in using MS Word, Excel etc.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required: Bachelor's degree in relevant field
EMEA contract management and procurement experience is essential as with exposure to start up fast paced forward thinking working environments
Broadcasting Television Industry or media related experience would be highly preferred.
