Description
Prime Function of Role:
• To learn and take on tasks related to film scanning, digital lab and post production services, supporting our growing post production operation and aiming to establish a career in film scanning specifically.

Main duties and responsibilities include:
·learning to use film scanners;
·supporting scan department with both technical and admin tasks;
·learning post production workflows and procedures;
·giving support to the technical team;
·learning to identify problems and provide solutions to technical issues;
·assisting with technical troubleshooting; ·logging incoming data and media;
·learning to use software such as Resolve,NLE software,check sum software,learning shared storage systems,scan station software,among others;
·assisting with dailies creation;
·assisting with LTO creation;
·other duties as required.

Details of the role:
·9 hours per day,with flexible hours
·Circa£18k-£21k per annum dependent on experience
The Digital Orchard office is in the countryside near Chorleywood (HP8 4AX) - please ensure that you could easily travel to and work from the office.

Personal specification:
·Demonstratable interest in the technical side of filmmaking(Essential)
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills(Essential)
·ExcellentIT (or equivalent technical) skills and ability to troubleshoot (Essential)
·A friendly,motivated manner with a flexible and dedicated approach to work(Essential)
·Highly self motivated,resourceful,and confident working independently(Essential)
·Car owner/ability to drive(Essential)
Ability to demonstrate a commitment to starting a career in post-production and film scanning (Essential)
