ABOUTGPS is a creative post-production house based in the heart of Soho, London. Our facilities include Offline, Baselight grading, VFX suites, 5.1 audio & CGI, equipping us to deal with all your Post Production needs from ingest through to delivery.THE ROLEWill be responsible for scheduling the post production jobs. This involves management of these bookings in such a way which takes into consideration both client and operational needs so that resource utilization and revenue are optimised. The bookings coordinator needs to be able to give sound advice on the appropriateness of bookings and resources and always be able to negotiate and offer alternatives.This person must be able to provide immediate response to queries and supply accurate information about staff & facilities accordingly. The coordinator will assist producers in basic job management tasks and therefore ensure accurate billings & reconciliation.A few facts about the job:- Entry / Mid level- 40 hour week (Monday-Friday)- Start Date TBC- Salary dependent on experienceKey Responsibilities- Schedule in video/audio work for the TV department as per timing plans provided by the producers- Allocate & utilise resources in an efficient, fair and cost effective manner- Collate relevant information for operators to enable them to do their work (brief, script, technical specifications, timing plans, job & project numbers, font information, etc.)- Ensure that all operators are informed of what jobs they're working on at any particular time- Generate quotes with the assistance of the post producers- Deal with initial requests and standard/rate card bookings- Ensure projects are running on time and to budget, and to inform the relevant producer if this isn't likely to happen- Work in conjunction with the post production team to create and follow workflows for projects- Maintain a cooperative and motivated team Source & book freelancers with relevant and high quality skills when required- Prepare Purchase Orders, Pre Invoices & Invoices- To be familiar with all services offered within the TV department in order to promote to clients where appropriate reconciliation of bookings and projectsRequirements:- Previous Bookings experience- A good working knowledge of post production processes and services- Excellent time management skills & multi-tasking abilities- Attention to detail- Able to adapt to new working methods & practice technology advances- Experience in 'Farmer's Wife' is an advantage although experience using other systems will be considered.- Form good working relationships with post producers, operators & clients- Positive attitude towards problem solving and tight deadlines- A clear understanding of the meaning of customer care/service
