This full-time role involves working alongside an experienced picture editor on a variety of projects, including content sourced from ITN and Channel Four Learning archives, and weekly broadcasts of topical news stories. Practical and demonstrable knowledge of Mpeg and Flash video and encoding software, including Sorensen Squeeze is essential (Carbon Coder would also be an advantage). A keen interest in developing solutions and achieving the best video quality for broadcast on the web is desirable. You will need to be competent in using both Avid and FCP.Strong organisational skills are required to cope with managing a busy editing suite, meeting daily deadlines, working to a number of internal clients, and a variety of projects running concurrently. 2 to 3 years experience in a post-production environment is desirable.
