Post Production Assistant

London

Start Date : September 2024

Hello hello!

We're Gorilla Gorilla! An independent film and animation studio that helps brands tell powerful stories of change. We're on the hunt for an ambitious Post Production Assistant to act as a support to our team of producers.

Office / homeworking

This role will be full time at our offices (we're on City Road near to Angel / Old St / Farringdon). We support home-working with number of office days determined on a role-by-role basis with a current expectation of a minimum of 3 office days per week for all team members.

The Role

The Post Production Assistant is an important role at Gorilla Gorilla. We work mainly with freelance editors, so the PPA acts as a consistent backstop for our producers managing the edit suite, shoot drives, and editor bookings as well as taking on simple edit duties such as audio laybacks, b-roll cataloguing and subtitling.

Your primary responsibilities will be administrative. We want a detail-oriented person who the producers can trust to schedule and manage all of the Post Production needs of the business. We see the role expanding to be either a Post Producer, or Facilities Manager for Post.

In addition, for the right candidate, there may be the opportunity to develop creative editing skills as a junior editor - some of our smaller jobs have been edited by the previous PPA in full, and we often require edit amends to larger jobs.

We are subject expert filmmakers who operate across employee brand, diversity and inclusion and sustainability and we aim to make films that are smart, brave and curious...

...just like us.
