Post Production Assistant (Previously advertised as Edit Assistant)Main Duties & ResponsibilitiesWe are a leading TV production company specialising in high end sports production, branded entertainment and factual television. We are proud to be an equal opportunities employer and we actively seek candidates from diverse backgrounds and communities.We are looking for a technically minded, organised and motivated team member to support our post production department and its file-based workflow. The role will involve assisting at every stage of post production including project set up and ingest of rushes, first line technical support throughout the edit, delivery to broadcasters, and archiving to LTO.Key responsibilities:• Ingesting rushes from shoots• Downloading clips, sourcing archive and music• Transcoding and converting files from various sources• Ensuring correct folder structures and naming conventions across all assets• First line technical support to editors working on Adobe Premiere• Creating Vimeo links and review files for clients• Daily backup and maintenance of storage servers• Archiving and unarchiving from LTO tape library• Maintenance of edit suites, ordering equipment and testing kit• Dealing with third party facilities and suppliersRequired Skills and Experience:• Comprehensive knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro• Advanced IT troubleshooting skills particularly with Mac• Good understanding of video files, codecs and their application• Familiarity with post production workflows and technical infrastructure• Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills• Communication and problem-solving abilities• Up to date knowledge of new industry technologies• At least one year's previous experience in a technical role• Knowledge and enthusiasm for sport is a bonus but not essentialApplications:- Please provide a CV and covering note- Closing date: 9th August 2019- Base: Kew (studios / shoots as required)- International travel / weekend work / project-specific hours may be required
