Post Producer

Responsibilities

• Develop long lasting and trusted relationships with the agency, including creatives, Producers, Account Handling & Project Managers
• To be the dedicated Post Producer within the Hogarth department servicing Producers within the department and clients from Ogilvy.
• Ensuring the day to day production workflow is adhered to, defined, communicated and production standards are enforced
• delivered on time and within the agreed budget
• Attend briefings with the client/ agency to find out proposed scope of work, submit budgets, agree a quote, assign third party suppliers where required, coordinate edit suite time, track costs and manage project progress
• Check and approve post production estimates and alert producers to extras they may have incurred in the post production department.
• Be responsible for checking that all material needed to undertake a job has been requested and is on the system in the correct place
• Play an active role defining problems, recommending solutions and establishing resourceful conclusions
• Negotiate rates and liaise with outsourcing companies
• Develop content solution for Agency clients and creative working with Beyond
• Make sure that the assigned projects are produced to a high creative standard, delivered on time and within the agreed budget
• Work alongside a team of permanent Producers, Editors, Edit Assist and Bookings resources to optimal capacity calling on freelancers only when required
• Maintain constant communication with the Agency TV department, attend TV status meetings
• Work with Hogarth Account Management Team to position & market JV correctly within the Agency
• distribute feedback, track costs and manage project progress
• Be responsible for checking that all material needed to undertake a job has been requested and is on the system in the correct place
• Play an active role defining problems, recommending solutions and establishing resourceful conclusions both internally and externally with the Agency
• Build pipeline of work coming through the JV and help forecast Broadcast work for the unit
• Check that all work is reconciled correctly and comes in within the agreed budget
• Send regular updates to internal clients of costs incurred so far on jobs, weekly updates to Hogarth Finance and Director of Broadcast.
• Work with Commercial team on all costings, estimate templates, briefing templates and rate cards for Broadcast head office and joint ventures
• Track and identify new opportunities to improve our methodology and training offerings from a production perspective working with Head of Post Production
• Continually defines ways to increase client satisfaction and deepen client relationships
• Encourage and explore new avenues of potential work through to delivery
• Manage and nurture relationship between Producers and Operators and account teams
• Monthly financial reporting, including WIP and billings

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a Post Producer
• Strong experience within an Agency / Post house
• Supports and solicits input from team members at all levels
• Maintains lasting client relationships internally & externally
• Reinforces team approach throughout development efforts
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Pro-active not re-active
