Oversee the entire recording process, ensuring the highest standards for both audio and video quality, and collaborating with the Digital Team on production innovations.Post-Production Management: Package and upload episodes for RSS (including title, thumbnail, and description). Provide clear, detailed notes and correctly treated audio/video files to editors and social producers to guide post-production.Live & Special Content: Lead the planning and execution of livestreams and other special content, delegating tasks as needed.Audience Insight & GrowthData-Driven Decisions: Regularly log and analyse audience data and consumption metrics across all platforms. Use these insights, along with analysis of audience sentiment and questions, to inform future editorial planning and production decisions.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Contribute to membership and marketing plans to drive audience acquisition and retention. Work with the Commercial Team to develop creative treatments for partnership content.Team Management & WorkflowExecution & Optimisation: Execute and refine the production schedule to ensure all deadlines are met while balancing the team's and hosts' workloads.Mentorship: Contribute to weekly briefing meetings, allocating and supervising tasks for Assistant Producers and other junior team members.Process Improvement: Seek constructive feedback and keep workflow resources (e.g., upload guides, templates) updated and optimised.Collaborative Environment: Help foster a respectful, creative, and highly collaborative working environment within the production team.Financial Awareness: Demonstrate awareness of production budgets and the financial impact of production choices.RequirementsExperienceProven Production Track Record: At least 1-3 years of experience as a Producer (or similar level) in podcast, radio, or audio production.End-to-End Project Delivery: Direct experience executing complex audio/video projects from initial concept through to final distribution.Talent Management: Experience working effectively with high-profile talent, journalists, or subject matter experts.Skills & KnowledgeTechnical Proficiency: Proficiency in using digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Adobe Audition or Pro Tools.Editorial & Narrative Skill: Exceptional editorial judgment, storytelling, and scriptwriting skills, with a keen understanding of pacing and narrative structure.Project Management: Excellent organisational and project management abilities, capable of juggling multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously under pressure.Data Analysis: Proficient in understanding and analysing multi-platform audience data (e.g., listen-through rates, audience trends) to inform content and packaging decisions.Distribution & Compliance: Solid understanding of podcast distribution platforms (e.g., Acast, Spotify for Creators) and a demonstrable grasp of UK media law, copyright, and broadcast compliance.Subject Expertise: A deep understanding of and interest in politics, news, and current affairs.
