What you'll do
Validation of content - Working through content, ensuring programming is fault free for broadcast.
Dashboard Management - Proactively investigating the Dashboard to ensure content is safe to air.
Schedule Data additions - Attention to detail and accurate adding of Programme data to ensure content airs fault free
Alarm Monitoring - Working with the Vipe automation and Dataminer Software, Validate and acknowledge alarms that occur to clarify if an affecting on-air issue.
Teamwork - You will be Working together across a variety of roles to ensure Sky provides excellent broadcast service to its customers.
On air Decision-making capability - The ability to make decisions to ON air affecting issues and take action of swapping render engines, and editorial decisions to pull programmes and protect content for viewers.
Schedule Preparation - performing required manual and automated tasks on the playout schedules to identify potential errors and known faults and ensure readiness for Rendering content for broadcast
Fault Identification - Immediate identification of any loss or degradation of the channel outputs and loss of encryption or pin protection.
Fault recovery - use of system resilience or schedule editing to recover from channel loss or degradation
Communication - concise and accurate verbal and written communication, professional and courteous at all times
Logging & Reporting - accurately recording any faults, changes or other deviations from the originally scheduled content.

Office Location - Chilworth
Our campus is close to Southampton City centre, with good access via the M3 and M27 motorways, Southampton Airport and Southampton Parkway and Swaythling train stations. Plus, there's onsite parking available for cars, motorbikes and bicycles.
