Photographers at ASOS are highly creative, organised and efficient individuals. The photographer works closely with the Stylist, Producer, H&M and model to create industry leading imagery and video content that appeals to our 20 something customer. Leading the shoot and directing the model, the photographer will time manage to achieve target whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality that engage with our customer.The DetailsReporting to Senior Photographer, photographers are responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day running of shoots. Primarily product page enrichment of 1000+ products per day across the teamShooting products to the highest standard across primarily model shoots an occasionally Non Model shootsDemonstrate creative skill to be able to step on for shoots with an elevated treatmentGive clear and concise model direction on set and be accountable for the poses, mood and overall feel of the product shots alongside the Stylists and ProducerEnsure the product is fully displayed while maintaining aspirational look and feelDeliver every shoot to agreed start and finish times, meeting your set target and hitting (if not exceeding) creative benchmarksDemonstrating and maintaining a professional presence in and around the businessMaintain a professional, organised and productive working environmentSupporting the team in following established processes to deliver agreed creative and quality standards in line with departmental strategyWorking with the Seniors and Lead to support the training and development of new full-timers and freelanceDemonstrate solid understanding of LED lighting, Capture One and Canon camera system with the ability to translate this knowledge on setDemonstrate full understanding of creative changes within the departmentBe a point of contact for all freelance photographers with regards to Studio set-ups, equipment and shoot guidelinesBe innovative regarding lighting and shooting techniques to ensure ASOS imagery is ahead of the competitionConduct seasonal reviews alongside the Senior Photographer regarding background, lighting, pose, mood, look and feel. See any changes through to effective completionKeep up to date with the latest industrial photographic equipment and styles ensuring ASOS stays with/ahead of our competitorsBe port of call in Senior Photographers absenceWork with Studio Management and wider studio team on ad hoc projects to include head shots, competitions and creative briefsSupport the model booking team with castings, feeding back on the progress of new models where necessaryBe proactive in maintenance of studio kit, ensuring kit stays in optimal working condition and replacements flagged within a timely mannerDeveloping your creative knowledge to keep shoots relevant and aspirational - always up to date on our customers, with a strong overview of fashion, social media and general trendsSupport Seniors when required with deployment of fulltime and freelance team resource to optimise the collective team skill set including support of the day to day management in response to absenceEngaging in training and development initiatives always projecting the ASOS behaviours policyWorking closely with your Seniors, Leads and Management team to successfully deliver the department strategy. Build strong, professional and collaborative relationships with the wider studio teamDemonstrating excellent brand awareness by identifying areas for review, researching ideas and assessing competition when required to ensure we are market leadersFollowing the ASOS photography guide to ensure product is shot consistently across all shoot functionsSupport new workflow solutions to streamline departmental practices and processesContributing to team and departmental meetingsAlways championing ASOS ABC's and behaviours, demonstrating excellent brand awarenessDelivering projects to support the department strategy and any other ad-hoc tasks defined by LeadershipSupporting our culture by championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.About YouExperience using Capture One, Canon and LED TechnologyPrevious studio photography experience in an e-commerce environmentExcellent communication skills to build relationships internally and externallySelf-motivated, detail orientated and willing to go the extra mileIs flexible and can think outside of the box and bring new ideas to the teamExcellent organisation and time management to ensure the studio targets are achievedThe ability to stay calm, professional and positive in a fast-paced environmentSomeone who is passionate about photography and fashion, and has a solid understanding of current trends and how they relate to the ASOS customerThe ability to rapidly adapt to change quickly and effectively, embracing ASOS Studio cultureTeam player qualities who is eager to learn and can grasp new information quickly
