We are looking for a People Operations Manager or Senoir People Advisor who thrives in a vibrant and fast-paced setting. This crucial role supports our Group Head of People, driving efficient business practices while encouraging a positive workplace culture.
As People Manager you will advise and guide on all operational and strategic people elements, with a key responsibility on overseeing our payroll operations, working closely with an external payroll company to ensure precise and timely payroll processing.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a positive inclusive work environment across multiple locations, developing talent, and implementing strategies to support the company's growth objectives as we scale.
The People Ops Manager will play a critical role in shaping our culture, managing employee relations, driving
initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention, ensuring HR policies and practices align with our
company values, and resolving compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the entire employee life cycle, providing excellent HR support.
• Act as a local resource for workplace development and support line-managers in employment situations.
• Collaborate with the broader People Team to achieve the company's objectives, maintaining and updating the employee handbook to reflect HR best practices.
• Manage and streamline the payroll function by liaising with the external provider for efficient and accurate payroll processing.
• Design and implement programs to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
• Lead employee engagement initiatives to evaluate and enhance job satisfaction.
• Advocate for employees, offering pragmatic solutions and insights.
• Innovate and enhance our working methods through continuous review and improvement of people processes and policies.
• Provide coaching and support to managers on performance-related issues, including goal setting, feedback, and performance reviews.
• Work collaboratively with our People Team, contributing to the team's collective goals and initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Proven experience in People management, with specific expertise in payroll management including managing payroll for casual workers.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with external partners and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with a strong capacity for problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- CIPD qualification is preferred.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment law.
- Commercial awareness combined with problem-solving abilities.
- An innovative thinker with a self-starting attitude
- Proficient in navigating HR systems like BambooHR to optimise HR processes.
Location:
Primarily based in Kew, occasional work at other locations might be expected.
Working Days:
Hybrid working of 4:1 (4 days in office and 1 day working remotely)
Working Days: Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and an opportunity to early finish on Fridays.
Contract Dates:
Start ASAP on a Permanent contract, but willing to wait for the right candidate
