The Collective is the most prestigious film location agency in London. Now moving into our 9th year, we are an integral part of the search process for major productions wanting to shoot big projects in London. We have a strong pedigree in always discovering and delivering the next new location for the highest profile feature film and TV shows on the planet.

We promote a constantly evolving portfolio of over 1,500 locations in London, and regularly engage with a network of over 3,500 clients who work on high calibre film, TV, and advertising productions in London. We work with every major production shooting in London; a small selection of notable recent projects include Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, Suffragette, Mortdecai, '24', Avengers II, Sherlock, Skyfall, Downton Abbey, Mr Selfridge, Luther, Call the Midwife, Theory of Everything, Alice Through the Looking Glass, Humans, Man from UNCLE, Pride and Imitation Game,

Our job is to make filming a hassle-free experience; making everything as smooth, simple and as easy as possible.

Job Description
We are seeking a bright, highly organised, systems-loving candidate with excellent telephone skills and a passion for pursuing a career in TV and film and specifically the locations side of the industry. To excel in this role, the successful candidate should also hold a genuine interest in architecture and interior design. You have to be adaptable, constantly reprioritising your workload throughout each day to keep up with the fast paced nature of the office and the industry we work in. We need to see and sense you enjoying your chance to shine while learning the ropes and being inducted into a well-rewarded industry. Most importantly, at all times you will exhibit a positive 'can do' attitude.

The best bit:
We need you to be our representative on set regularly at some of our Exclusive Collection. You are our eyes and ears whilst chaperoning and where possible assist productions achieve their objectives while remaining within the parameters of the agreed hire. One day it could be a feature film like Mission Impossible 5, the next day it might be a Jaguar commercial. This is for between 50-75 days per year and could be for a half day, full day, full week, evenings, weekends ... whenever the filming takes place. But the majority will be midweek daytime as this is when 90% of all filming actually takes place.

The unique bit:
The Collective is part of The Collective Group also incorporating Canvas Events. As part of your role, you will allocate one (ish) day per week assisting Canvas continue their rapid growth and expansion primarily through completing research and development tasks to help uncover the next new venue in London that has opened up. And we get a lot of invites to attend events which is a great bonus!

What we are looking for

Experience and skills:
Experience working in an office environment desirable but not essential
If you have experience already in 'locations' that is excellent news for you
A passion for the film and TV industry
A keen interest in architecture and interior designs
Comfortable working with Word and Excel
Can navigate around adobe Photoshop
Preferable if hold a clean driving licence

Characteristics:
A positive attitude
Boundless enthusiasm and a 'can do' attitude
A commitment to chaperone productions when the company needs you to (for an appropriate remuneration during unsociable hours)
Understands the importance of valuing and prioritising tasks
Excited by working within a team ethos
Comfortable with numbers

Your development and the package
We want to set this out clearly as a 12 month role, and a key objective for us is that the person who takes the role stays the distance. At the end of the 12 months, if all went well for both parties, it is highly likely that we will want to offer you a full time position and the great bonus of this role is that you will be trained up in and get to experience a bit of everything; location scouting, filming enquiries, being on set, venue finding, site visits, marketing, photography as well as ingratiating yourself with the producer, directors, a famous face or two and everyone else who comes to work in this building as you are ... their new best friend.
