What we need!We're looking for an experienced Edit Assistant who can work closely with our finishing team to ensure that the fast-paced post-production process runs efficiently with a strong focus on conforming. *Please note: The base shift hours for this job will include evenings, weekends and potentially some night shifts* What we need you to do! Liaise with technical supervisors, bookings and post-production producers and to ensure work is correctly undertakenSetting up, supporting and trouble-shooting edit suitesUndertake project conforms in Avid & Resolve) as well as other related tasks such as prepping sequences for grade & VFX turnovers Communicate clearly and efficiency with team members, post producers and other staff members though email, handovers, rushes logs and other administrative meansKeep up to date with new standards and workflows, including relevant operational technology implemented within the departmentBeing fully aware of the use of technology within the facility and to report any faults to engineeringClient-facing and provide tech support and advice for production when necessaryWork collaboratively as part of a multifaceted team and maintain good working relationships and service levels with Picture Shop clientsPartake in training & support for junior members of the teamBe a senior point-of-contact for your area of workingAttend relevant training identified to ensure duties are performed efficientlyUndertake ad-hoc tasks delegated by Technical Supervisors/Managers What Experience we're looking for!A minimum of two years post-production experience in the industry with a demonstrable track record of successExtensive Avid Media Composer knowledge with significant Conforming experienceExperience working across a range of genresAn excellent knowledge of post-production tapeless workflows, technologies and terminologiesThorough understanding of video formats, frame rates and resolutions & codecsGood numeracy, literacy and writing skillsGood knowledge of Resolve and colour pipelinesExperience with Nucoda or Flame is desirableKnowledge of ScheduAll softwareA good practical knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software and database management systemsAble to organise own time and workloadAble to communicate complex technical issues in a clear and succinct manorPossessing excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detailCalm and methodical approach, especially under pressureSelf-motivated and adaptableAble to work without supervision
