Online Edit Assistant

What we need!

We're looking for an experienced Edit Assistant who can work closely with our finishing team to ensure that the fast-paced post-production process runs efficiently with a strong focus on conforming.

*Please note: The base shift hours for this job will include evenings, weekends and potentially some night shifts*



What we need you to do!

Liaise with technical supervisors, bookings and post-production producers and to ensure work is correctly undertaken
Setting up, supporting and trouble-shooting edit suites
Undertake project conforms in Avid & Resolve) as well as other related tasks such as prepping sequences for grade & VFX turnovers
Communicate clearly and efficiency with team members, post producers and other staff members though email, handovers, rushes logs and other administrative means
Keep up to date with new standards and workflows, including relevant operational technology implemented within the department
Being fully aware of the use of technology within the facility and to report any faults to engineering
Client-facing and provide tech support and advice for production when necessary
Work collaboratively as part of a multifaceted team and maintain good working relationships and service levels with Picture Shop clients
Partake in training & support for junior members of the team
Be a senior point-of-contact for your area of working
Attend relevant training identified to ensure duties are performed efficiently
Undertake ad-hoc tasks delegated by Technical Supervisors/Managers




What Experience we're looking for!

A minimum of two years post-production experience in the industry with a demonstrable track record of success
Extensive Avid Media Composer knowledge with significant Conforming experience
Experience working across a range of genres
An excellent knowledge of post-production tapeless workflows, technologies and terminologies
Thorough understanding of video formats, frame rates and resolutions & codecs
Good numeracy, literacy and writing skills
Good knowledge of Resolve and colour pipelines
Experience with Nucoda or Flame is desirable
Knowledge of ScheduAll software
A good practical knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software and database management systems
Able to organise own time and workload
Able to communicate complex technical issues in a clear and succinct manor
Possessing excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail
Calm and methodical approach, especially under pressure
Self-motivated and adaptable
Able to work without supervision
