Sony Pictures Television (SPT), a Sony Pictures Entertainment company, is one of the television industry's leading content providers, producing and distributing programming in every genre around the world and for a multitude of platforms. The London based TV Networks department is currently looking for an On-Air Production Assistant to join their busy team, providing support to the three SPT Russian channel brands - Sony Entertainment Television (Sony Channel), Sony Scifi and Sony Turbo. SPT Russia boasts a current programming slate that includes top-rated daytime dramas, landmark series, critically acclaimed primetime dramas, comedies and films.Reporting directly to the Senior Producer, the Production Assistant will be a highly motivated, self-managing individual able to work well with others as well as in isolation. The ability to communicate ideas and opinions fluently is essential, as is the grace to accept constructive criticism and the determination to see a project through to completion whatever the apparent obstacle.Job Specification:The Production Assistant will work across all three channels to strict deadlines, generating ideas, writing scripts, producing self op-ed rough cuts as well as working with producers, animators and sound engineers to produce TX ready promos. There will also be occasional involvement with other creative projects spanning the on-air, animation and channel teams (sponsorship, re-brands, stunts etc). Key Tasks:• Manage the makelist and safe trafficking of promotions though to transmission• Pitch ideas / treatments to the On Air Manager for approval• Write well-crafted promo scripts• Choose appropriate music beds• Edit competent rough cuts (knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro preferred)• Deliver all promos to the deadline specified• Provide creative advice and assistance to colleagues• Assist with Project work where requiredQualifications and/or Experience Required:• Must be fluent in both Russian and English• Working knowledge of broadcasting processes• Broad understanding of Edit, Animation and Sound design• Competent self op edit skills (Premiere and FCP preferred)• Strong communication skills• Good Administration Skills• Ability to work unsupervised• Any After effects / Motion based skills or sound design experience a bonusIf you meet the above requirements, we would love to hear from you!
