Office Runner 4 Days a week, LondonThe Role: To assist in the day-to-day running of the Studios offices Working within a team based at out of BBC White City, logging and carrying out staff requests or forwarding to appropriate alternative staff if necessary. Contract Type: 6 - 12 month contractSalary: 9,338.00 GBP as 4 days a week part timeHours: 9.30am-5.30pmMain responsibilities:• Organise VHS & DVD dubbing (often to tight deadlines)• Record programmes from TV• Answer main phone line & cover Reception• Manage Appointments and Google Calendars• Collect, sort, distribute and frank mail• Make daily runs to other tT sites • Order stationery and keep stock tidy• Keep kitchens clean and tidy, loading & unloading dishwashers• Check & replenish stock of kitchen consumables• Check & replenish water stocks• Set up and clear meeting rooms• Photocopy & basic filing• Assist in set up of office areas, including furniture builds & moves• Liaise with regular suppliers - order stock and resolve basic queries• Assist in set up of social events• Collect and/or deliver recycling• Maintain paper stocks for photocopiers• Check central fax machine and distribute faxes• Help with archive boxes• Assist other member of OM Team as necessary e.g. Facilities Manager• Flag up any issues in the buildingQualifications & Experiences:• Good communication skills• Ability to use own initiative • Practical and logical approach to work• Computer literate• FlexibilityCore Skills:Commercial• Demonstrates a broad knowledge of the part of the business that they operate in.• Shows integrity in dealing with confidential information and material.Creative• An interest in TV is very important• Understands other points of view and changes own approach or stance to suit the needs of the situation.• Has a proactive nature with the ability to pre-empt issues by taking appropriate steps and escalating when required.Collaborative• Work harmoniously in a team• Excellent inter-personal, communication and relationship building skills with a friendly and approachable attitude• Develops effective relationships with colleagues in other areas of the business, who can assist you in achieving goals.Confident• Able to confidently interact with colleagues at all levels and also with key talent and contributors when on production• Responds to changing circumstances and is resilient, flexible, and willing to depart from plans when occasion demands• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines • Confidence, assertiveness and decisiveness • Always forward thinking and planning ahead to ensure best service level
