There are two positions available:

1 x 6 Month FTC

To produce and syndicate news content to ITN Productions broadcast and digital clients.

The role involves producing and editing video packages for a digital audience as well as logging and on-passing raw footage to other media organisations.

Accuracy, attention to detail, sound news judgement and editing skills are all essential to the role.
Responsibilities

Stay across the news agenda to ensure content is current and relevant for the client.
Log and shot-list ITV News and C4 News bulletins & rushes footage
Edit stories using Avid Newscutter adding captions, stings and subtitles
Voice bulletins or use graphic captions to tell the story
Meet multiple daily deadlines
Understand media law and copyright, applying this to usage of incoming content
Ensuring delivery of a consistently high-quality service to clients
Look for opportunities to generate additional revenues

Qualifications

Educated to degree level
Journalism experience working for a national or local news organisation
Proficient with desktop picture editing software, preferably Avid Newscutter
Solid news judgement and script writing skills
Experience of working to tight deadlines
Excellent organisation skills, coupled with the ability to multi-task and prioritise story coverage, while retaining attention to detail
Good knowledge of Ofcom regulations and a qualification in media law
An understanding of video rights, licencing and copyright management
Flexible worker with a positive approach to problem-solving
Comfortable with client liaison
