To work alongside all specialist bureaux to develop and deliver distinctive and exclusive content, overseeing and driving stories for all ITV News platforms.

Responsibilities
Lead on the planning and execution of editorial projects of all genres
Feed into the ITV News editorial strategy and help drive the news agenda
Act as point of liaison for this content with senior editorial staff
Act as a sounding board for editorial guidance
Specific responsibility for developing content from the specialist bureaux
Exec produce original content from the bureaux
Deliver commissioned films from across the UK
Help ensure consistent delivery of commissioned content
Creating temporary units using existing staff to work on specific stories/issues
Work with the Head of UK Newsgathering to ensure editorial ambitions are achieved within the agreed resource framework
Line manage some of the specialist staff
Help undertake appraisals of key staff
Communicate with the Head of UK Newsgathering and Director of Newsgathering to update and discuss ongoing projects
Contribute to the Reflecting Our Audience initiative
Understand and embrace ITV News digital strategy and objectives
Understand and work with the objectives of One ITV partnerships
Ensure legal compliance on all editorial and content issues
