As a member of the BT Creative and Digital team, the Music Coordinator is responsible for helping the development of the musical creative direction and melodic brand identity of the BT Sport channels and BT TV platform.What you'll be doingLicencing and the clearance of music under BT Sport and BT TV's blanket music licences.Assist with creative management and development when required incuding sourcing music, briefing and providing playlists as well as ingesting and cataloguing music.Collating, completing and approving Music Cue Sheets.Supporting the administration of BT Sport Music via invoicing, filing, track registration and royalty tracking. Data collection and other administrative tasks when required. We'll also need to see these on your CVPassionate about Music, Sport and Television with a knowledge and appreciation for all three. You will be committed to establish BT Sport's reputation for vibrant and innovative music use and compelling, world class sports programming.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalProven ability to prioritise work-load to ensure deadlines are deliveredA passion for music is essential, along with knowledge of music production and a thorough understanding of the TV and Music industry, competitor landscape and BT Consumer product knowledge.You must be able to give clear examples of knowledge/experience gained at an organisation with a focus on creative music use (TV channel, production company, music supervision company, creative agency, label, publisher, music library).Experience working with Soundmouse.Sound understanding of music copyrights and blanket television licensing.Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking.Project based playlisting to brief.Existing relationships with rights holders.Passion and awareness of mainstream and independent music.Clearing commercial tracks to budget directly with labels and publishers.Commissioning original music including briefing composers, negotiating fees, and deliverables and drafting contracts.
