Multimedia Producer

London

This position is part of a small group focused on SPE's digital content, as well as an integral part of an interdepartmental team on marketing that includes social media, events, and campaigns. The position also works closely with the publications and membership teams.

The Role
The Multimedia Producer will have the unique opportunity of coordinating multiple content streams, both live and recorded, resulting in multimedia products which provide training, education, and outreach to SPE's global audience. This role will liaise with both internal stakeholders and external guests to create audio and video products primarily streamed on SPE online channels. The producer also will arrange, schedule and coordinate content capture with multiple internal groups and external vendors primarily for SPE events. Working with a variety of media producers, the content will be repurposed for use in training, content marketing, and member engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience producing simulcast livestreams, coordinating video and audio production, copywriting, talent management, monitoring tools, and viewership metrics. An understanding of the petroleum industry will enable the candidate to excel in this position.

What You'll Do
* Coordinate with multiple internal groups and external vendors; create and manage timelines and scope of work for multimedia projects
* Coordinate with marketing and other departments' colleagues on the strategy and implementation for multimedia products
* Serve as the conduit for industry-relevant content that meets members' needs and interests
* Advise on the creation of and work with other departments on the implementation of virtual events including conferences and exhibitions
* Contact session authors, presenters, and event committee members to schedule video interviews
* Schedule and target content on all necessary social networking platforms
* Assist with multimedia strategy and tactics on two multi-society event brands: the Offshore Technology Conference and International Petroleum Technology Conference
* Write, edit, and proofread compelling copy for multimedia content
* Design compelling infographics and animations in support of editorial and marketing content
* Coordinate capture of compelling video content for the web, social media, and events
* Stay current on multimedia and digital content trends.
* Monitor performance and adjust where needed
* Measure and report on content and project results; recommend future strategies and tactics

What You Bring
* Oil and Gas industry experience will contribute to the technical skills required to narrate or voiceover content in a knowledgeable fashion
* Experience producing and streaming simulcast livestreams for online channels through liaising with internal stakeholders and external guests
* Knowledge of industry-relevant technical topics that may be of high member interest
* Excellent writing and storytelling skills across all mediums are critical to this role, as well as copy writing
* Able to translate corporate and technical speeches into compelling stories - must make it worthwhile for the viewer to spend their time watching the video!
* Analytical skills including experience with web metrics (e.g. Google Analytics) with ability to present viewer engagement performance
* Project management skills - coordinate projects from concept to production, staying on budget and on time

Technical skills and knowledge:
* Adobe Creative Suite
* Video production using Premiere and/or Final Cut
* Strong computer skills (Outlook, internet and intranet environments, Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
* Audio recording/editing and video live streaming.
* Video, post-production, audio, and compression formats.
* Multimedia production technology, including the latest capture and camera technology
* Hands-on experience in social media platforms.
