Multimedia Producer

Brussels

Context

The Multimedia Producer will work mainly on video production, collaborating closely with the Graphic Designer to develop strong visual stories about contexts where MSF works and its beneficiaries. He/she will firstly be a video editor with strong skills and experience but must be able to film in HQ (studio) or in the field (complex environments), manage interview in both French and English and take photos.

The multimedia producer shall have strong storytelling skills mainly producing for social media channels but also for news wires and occasionally documentaries.

This person will be the technical referent for the Creative Content Team, he/she will be in charge of developing/updating policies and standards for digital production workflow and maintaining organized archives in video. He/she will also be in charge on maintaining video equipment.

The Multimedia Producer will be producing mainly for operational communication (70%) but also for internal (other departments and/or Belgian comms) projects (30%).

The "Multimedia Producer" works within the Communication department/MSF OCB Combo Unit/Creative Content Team and reports to the Creative Content Team Leader. It's a full time position (37h30 hour/week) based in Brussels.

He/She works in very close collaboration with all the members of the Creative Content Team but also with the various Communications Advisers of the Combo team.
Job Profile
Operational communications (70%)
• Edit video footage to create video stories in English and French
• Participate to creation of multimedia content (from concept to final export)
• Act as a technical referent on video production (standards, trends,...)
• Organize and maintain video workflow
• Ensure proper archiving on MSF Media database
• Travel to MSF projects worldwide to film (twice a year)
• Organize and create AV trainings and tools for Field Communication Manager and Communication Advisers
• Manage video/photo equipment (jointly with the Creative Content Team Leader)
• Support photo production (editing and upload on the media database)
Internal Projects (30%)
• Advise and produce multimedia content for internal communication (videos for training, presentation, events...)
• Provide support for media trainings arranged in-house
• Follow up on distribution of MSF produced documentaries (technical aspects)
We are looking for an ideal candidate

• Bachelor degree in Audiovisual technologies or equivalent
• Professional experience with filming, editing and script
• Interest for social media and digital communication
• A good judgement of ethical aspects of communication, copyright and legal aspects
• Fluency in English and French (other language is an asset)
• Knowledge of the international broadcasts standards
• Team Player
• Creativity, curiosity, a sense of initiative
• Experience in filming abroad in difficult conditions
• Flexibility to travel, including to unstable contexts
• Experience in multimedia or web-based interactive productions is an asset
• Mac environment
• An interest in international and humanitarian issues
