FULL TIME ROLEIf you have recently graduated from a media production course, or have extensive event experience and are looking for a career in broadcast with the opportunity to work in an interesting, diverse and rewarding environment then this could be for you.This full time position will involve a range of vision mixing, basic camera operation, directing, producing, and graphics operating roles from our MCR near Guildford, and on location. You will be directly involved in the delivery of a wide range of projects from major fashion shows to red carpets, light entertainment to weekly music production, traditional sport and e-sports through to news and current affairs programming.As an MSO, you will work seamlessly with the team to support the operational needs of the company on location and at the MCR.The role will be diverse but encompass the following areas of responsibilities:A level of understanding of broadcast systems and technology suitable to an operator positionBasic camera operation within a studio environment - positioning the camera and offering appropriately framed shots - working with or without directionMedia coordination, ingest and managementOperate VT playback and graphics CG systemsVision mix a range of shows from music production to studio on industry standard vision mixers including Grass Valley and FOR-AOversee the prep and de-prep of equipmentTake briefs, manage projects and develop solutions autonomouslySet up small camera rigs for projectsThe main focus of this role is to work as an integral part of production to get programmes to air, by recognising programme needs and proactively acting upon them. This could include using craft skills to creatively and technically enhance our output and support programme objectives.Embracing training and development opportunities to achieve craft excellence in at least two skills and to become competent in any other tasks key to operational need.This is an ideal opportunity for someone to gain a wide range of experience with the aim of then focusing on a particular area in the future.Whilst we are looking for people with relatable experience, at this time we are open to transferable skills from different sectors and actively support enquiries from the event and production industry providing you can demonstrate appropriate skills.
