PURPOSEWorking as an experienced member of the Graphics team to develop, design and produce creative animations and screen content for a wide variety of communication solutions. A skilled generalist across 2D & 3D animation, CGI, VFX and graphic design. A proactive team member sharing knowledge and supporting others to create brilliant, award winning animations. You will also help drive the growth of the team through supporting business development and creative proposals.PRINCIPLE DUTIES• Ability to take direction from and liaise with clients, project leaders and other Graphics team members to develop and produce animated graphics.• Working with creative directors and producers on proposing solutions and ideas.• Developing the timing and pace of an animation ensuring they follow the soundtrack and audio requirements.• Building up accurate, detailed frame-by-frame visuals.• Working with editors to composite the various layers of animation (backgrounds, special effects, characters and graphics) in order to produce the finished piece.• Working to production deadlines and meeting clients' commercial requirements.• Generating new ideas and ways to animate specific messages.• Creating storyboards that depict the script and narrative.• Drawing in 2D to create sketches, artwork or illustrations.• Designing models, backgrounds, sets, characters, objects and the animation environment.• Team working as part of a broader production network, which might include liaising with other designers copywriters, photographers, designers, account executives, website designers or marketing specialists• CPD - keep up to date with new and emerging design trends ensuring continuous innovation.This list is not exhaustive, and you will be expected to work flexibly and undertake other such duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require.EXPERIENCE• A minimum of 5 years experience in producing animations.• Experience working with a variety of design and animation projects.SKILLS / CHARACTERISTICS• Strong visualising and design skills. • Proficient in using technical software packages, such as Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Photosop and Cinema 4D.• Experience handling video edits in Premier would be beneficial but not essential.• Experience cutting and working with audio would be beneficial but not essential.• Ability to use a wide range of animation software packages additional to those stated above.• Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.• Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.• Willing to work outside normal office hours when required.• Must be computer literate.• Imaginative aptitude for bringing ideas to life through animation.• A true love of all things 'animation'.• Organised with a true desire and eye for perfection.• Quick to understand a brief and what it needs to achieve.• Focused on consistently providing high service levels.• Positive attitude towards challenging situations and multi-tasking.• Self-motivated with the ability to work individually and as part of a wider team.• Willingness to learn new skills and develop existing ones.• Must be committed to making 'anything possible' with a 'can do' attitude.DATA SECURITYAt all times you must work within the guidelines set out in the DRPG's Information Security Policy and your Employee Confidentiality Agreement.
