Media Planning's role is to manage VIMN UK & Ireland's owned promotional airtime to speak to audiences in the most effective and targeted way possible, across all channels and platforms. The department works closely with our Scheduling, Marketing, Creative, Research and Business Development teams to drive ratings and revenue, showcase our breadth of content and strengthen brand perception. WHAT IS THE ROLE This role will be responsible for the planning, implementation and analysis of highly audience-focused, creative, effective promotional campaigns across the Comedy Central channel portfolio. Responsibilities:Work closely with Scheduling, Marketing, V Creative to pinpoint host and cross-channel priorities and plan effective, creative on-air campaignsCreate monthly promotional campaign makelists, detailing time-length and versioning requirementsSet up promotional assets in our scheduling system, What's On Create weekly navigation makelists, using innovative continuity and graphics to promote priorities and minimize audience churn to competitors Communicate daily with V Creative to ensure the timely sign off, compliance and delivery of all interstitial materialPlan and implement optimal promotional campaigns in What's On, achieving comms targets and tonal flow for all host channel and cross promotional messagesWork closely with Channel Operations to finalize promotional plans, communicate navigation requirements and ensure the timely handover transmission schedules which are accurate, editorially sound and OFCOM compliant Make full use of non-linear and on-demand platforms to amplify campaign messagingUse research systems to monitor campaign delivery and report on final resultsConduct in depth post campaign reviews to gather learnings and ensure future best practiceWork with Business Development and Sky Media to implement and report back on sponsorship and affiliate dealsKeep a keen eye on and share competitor activity/industry news WHAT SKILLS DO YOU NEEDMedia planning experience in TV broadcast environment, using a channel management system to create and schedule promotional assets Proven knowledge of BARB and media analysis tools (Infosys/Techedge) and techniques to conduct researchProven experience in effectively and diplomatically dealing with a range of departments and levels within an organisationExperience in presenting to a wide range of audiencesDemonstrable understanding of the editorial and transmission requirements of a TV scheduleExperience in developing new systems and processesDemonstrable understanding of the commercial broadcast marketplaceOutstanding eye for detail, numeracy and organisational skillsSuper organized with the ability to prioritize and co-ordinate a combination of roles, and work under time pressureAbility to take responsibility and work on own initiativeFast, methodical and accurateTeam player with 'can do' attitudeA comedy fan with a passion for all things funny
