Job: Media Director and Vision Mixer
Number of Positions: x 1

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead gallery crew in a highly dynamic LIVE and LIVE-to-tape environment.
Direct camera crew and floor managers to execute productions to the highest standards.
Direct multi-camera studio and on-location field productions.
Direct Productions across a variety of program genres, styles and formats.
Work closely with the editorial team to produce content requirements, design and execute visual treatments as per published running orders.
Effectively liaise and communicate with MCR and Broadcast TX on all transitions, handovers and countdowns.
Operate a large, complex Vision desk; cutting between sources as per established show formats independently.
Using the Vision mixer to optimise the outputs strengths.
Control inserts to the video wall.
Knowledge of how the Vision desk works and interacts with other equipment
Must be able to stay calm and react quickly and accurately under pressure.
All vision mixing requires high levels of concentration and stamina.
They must have the discipline to respond to cues accurately according to predetermined plans, and the confidence to take the initiative and deal autonomously with unforeseen circumstances or problems when they arise.
Communicate and work closely with show producers and editorial team members to execute pre-planned run-downs.

Essential skills required:

Must have the ability to conceptualise ideas and to think visually and decide about the appropriate graphic style and the music for the production.
Precise attention to detail & excellent organisational ability.
Methodical approach to work with high stress tolerance and stamina.
Knowledge of the entire production process.
A full command and up to date knowledge of spoken and written modern standard Arabic language is essential.
Experience in a similar Television Environment.
Familiar with various vision desks and equipment & in depth knowledge of vision equipment.
Excellent visual and aural awareness, combined with artistic and aesthetic abilities.
Good sense of rhythm in order to produce accurate and sensitive transitions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Effective team working skills & advanced IT Skills

Qualifications & Experience:

5 years' experience in relevant field.
Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
A full command and up to date knowledge of spoken and written modern standard Arabic language is essential.
