We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our new MCR Team in Leeds. The team will be responsible for getting live sports content into our transmission platform for our OTT product, as well as ensuring the quality of our outgoing broadcasts.The MCR operations are an exciting and often busy, 24/7 team, that sits at the heart of the business. Following the sporting calendars, the teams work to successfully obtain live signals, distribute these to other teams, encoding, recording, commentary and on-pass to other clients.Transmissions work is advantageous, but the ability to work in busy and live, broadcast environments are equally important to the role.The position will require to work nights, public holidays and weekends on a shift basis.WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR NEW ROLE?Manage switching into the playout channels for live broadcastsQuality control of incoming signals and outgoing broadcastsComplete line-up checks and procedures with production teamsLining up commentators and ensuring commentary levels and mixes are of a high qualityCommunicating and escalating with other broadcast service teamsAssisting with other MCR operations for signal acquisition and communicating with suppliersDO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS?Experience working in a live broadcast environmentGood understanding of broadcast formats and video signalsAbility to work in a busy, high pressure environmentAbility to communicate efficiently and effectivelyDO YOU HAVE THESE DESIRABLES?Experience working in an MCR environmentExperience working in live transmission workflowPrevious experience in sports broadcastingAbility to work with broadcast tools such as audio meters, scopes, waveform monitorsFamiliarity with Satellite transmissions and RF deliveryTHESE ARE THE PERFORM COMPETENCIES YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED IN YOUR ROLE...Please select appropriate & relevant competencies from the Perform Competency Framework document attachedAbility to set priorities, goals and time tables to achieve maximum productivity.Self-motivated and driven to succeed, focused on results and passionate about the job.Working collaboratively with a group of people in order to accomplish a task or achieve a goal.Building and maintaining external and internal customer satisfaction with Perform products, services and expertise.
