Marketing and Production Assistant (Kickstart Scheme)

The placement will be:
25 hours a week
For a six-month period
Paid the National Minimum Wage

The Marketing & Production Assistant firstly will work closely with the Head of Production, and the Production team, identifying potential new clients, researching their business and then engaging with them to demonstrate how video could benefit their business. The emphasis needs to be on how video can help them and their business to grow. All of this will need to be done in the Dashing Bear Productions way, and will involve building relationships and maintaining them over a period of time. We do not believe in the hard sell, but believe in an educated, well researched approach. There will be a requirement at times to present to clients, and also at networking events / trade shows.

This position will also help with Dashing Bear Productions' own social media channels, working with the Head of Production to identify the right content to help engage and attract potential clients, the role will involve scheduling content, and writing copy to sit alongside social media content. Dashing Bear Productions is specifically looking for someone with a good understanding of content for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, and how content and copy needs to vary between the different platforms. We are also happy to take our social media in a different direction to ensure that we are Gloucestershire's go to and leading video production company.

The second part of this role, will involve on occasions the opportunity to attend filming shoots around the country, and also be involved in creative decisions / as well as assisting in the preparation of larger scale productions, and will help with our work across corporate communications, promotional and advertising content. The role will provide opportunities to oversee some productions from start to finish, working with clients directly to ensure that films stay within budget and to help ensure films are produced to the highest standard, with guidance and training from the Head of Production. The role may include directing shoots, and working with various members of the production and post production creative team.

Other aspects of the role may include general administrative work including answering emails and phone calls. There will also be opportunities to learn to edit, animate and film at points in this role and helping to assist with the companies social media account.

You will learn about and gain experience in:
The production process from start to finish.
About kit, application and usage on shoots.
Training and working with crew and clients as well as learning about practical elements of production.
How to present ideas effectively.
You will be given time to see how different areas of the business work, as well as the opportunity to learn the basics of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop.
Participation in team meetings where we discuss projects and brainstorm creative ideas.
Experience of working in a small business, developing teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills and building. confidence in the workplace.

Qualifications, skills and experience ideally required:?
Degree or qualifications in multimedia, filmmaking or any equivalent experience.
A creative and analytical brain and the ability to convey and communicate ideas.
The ability to make a decision with conviction, sometimes these decisions need to be made quickly and sometimes need the bravery to step back and really process and understand the gravitas of your decision before jumping in.
Knowledge and experience in digital social media platforms.
Have good attention to detail and able to work within deadlines.
