Your role and responsibilities:Predominantly this role is acting as an editor for one of our key sporting clients, therefore past live sport broadcast experience, a love of sport overall with a passion for and knowledge of cricket vital.As Live Sports Editor, your main role will be the creation of daily sports content for digital and social channels, focussing on reacting to key moments within sporting events, as well as utilising existing archive footage to create dynamic video content efficiently and at speed.Within this role, there will be an opportunity to work as a vital member of our highly ambitious and evolving department responsible for creating quick-turnaround, creative digital content.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:React to live sporting events including quick turnaround briefs from client with dynamic video solutions.Report to project manager and producers daily to understand the needs of the client.Offer solutions in idea creation aiding both the team internally as well as the client in what you feel would work well as content for specific briefs.Report time spent on projects daily in our internal scheduling and time reporting application.Strictly follow the project, delivery and folder structures in place to ensure all work is tidy and easily accessible to other members of the team.A willingness to be collaborative, both internally with the wider team and externally with clients.Requirements of you:Have a minimum of 3+ years previous experience within a sporting/broadcast-based editing role.A love of sport, with a passion and knowledge of cricket in particular.An understanding of storytelling, being able to carve a narrative from sporting footage.An ability to work efficiently under time constraints, often with same day delivery.A keen interest and knowledge in social media and an understanding of social trends online, especially within the sporting world.A knowledge of the Adobe CC suite, specifically Premiere Pro is essential.Ability to fit into an energetic, mutli-disciplined post production team.Keep projects organised within our online server system, following Contented's folder structure, naming conventions and general post production process.More about the companyA global creative production company.
