FremantleMedia is offering an exciting and rewarding newly created role working for the Head of Global Entertainment Production.

You will be based in our London head office and you will work for and support our Heads of Productions across the Fremantle territories including US,UK, Australia, Germany, Denmark, France, Italy and The Netherlands.

Developing and managing relationships with the Global Heads of Production is an integral part of this job and you will need to have senior production management experience in the non-scripted sector, ideally across studio and location filming. This role offers a great opportunity for someone who has a genuine interest in the global market, who is a great communicator and has the vision and tenacity to lead and drive new approaches to the way we work across our territories. Willingness to travel and work with our teams and build new and sustainable relationships with both internal staff and external suppliers.

You will need to be the driving force in spearheading new initiatives which will increase our market competitiveness and improve our margins and efficiencies. You will also be responsible for analysing our current processes and devising proposals for new and innovative ways of working together, looking specifically at global strategy and implementation.



Main responsibilities

Analysis of Global Production management processes and data, giving feedback and recommendations to the territories
Wherever possible look for opportunities to share the analysis with your peers and assist execution of positive actions based on the findings
Look for synergies, including shared hub, shared resources, a shared information portal and pilot opportunities to test and practice new cost and time saving strategies
Identify and share best practice globally
Provide strategic input and recommendations to the group
Project management of Global Production strategy and initiatives
Connect with the Global Heads of Production
Travel to and meet Heads of Production (HOP) and their colleagues, ideally while key shows are in production to gain an intimate understanding of key stakeholders, vendors and production methods in each territory
Establish and maintain positive relationships with them at all times
Gather relevant information and ensure it is available to the Global HOPs
Setup and maintain regular meetings with the Global HOP community
Keep the HOPs updated on budgeting and production developments across the group
Setup and maintain Global HOP systems
Gain a detailed knowledge of the current shared systems across the territories and ensure information is organised, regularly updated and secure
Liaise with and ensure timely updates from all HOPS on their production information
Support HOPS where required to ensure information is current
Manage communication to the Global HOP group
Assess and curate HOP feedback/production information to ensure all stake holders are aware of key developments
Determine and action the best process and timing for updates/newsletters to the Global Heads of Production to ensure all colleagues are kept informed of production processes


Key competencies and qualifications

Required:

Senior production management experience
Familiarity or ideally direct experience with FremantleMedia shows
Knowledge or experience working across multiple genres, eg factual, location, entertainment & studio shows
Familiar and confident with a range of production budgets
Experience working in a fast-paced global matrix organisation
Ability to work within a diverse team with many local and international, internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Ability to engage and influence multiple senior stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience managing confidential information in a professional and sensitive manner
Proactive, positive and can-do attitude
Flexible and able to adapt to working varying hours and/or days
Please note that this role will required international travel

Desired:

Understanding of FremantleMedia or willingness to learn
Understanding of various technologies and production approaches across different global territories
