Line Producer

Bristol

A Productions are looking for an experienced Line Producer to work on a very exciting 2D children's animation for the BBC. As the Line Producer you will be working closely with our co-producers, ensuring that resource, budget and schedule remain on track across all aspects of the UK pipeline elements. You will work closely with the Assistant Producer in-house Studio Producer and Co-Production Producer to ensure that Production deliverables and milestones are clearly communicated, monitored, and met.
You will need to demonstrate previous animation industry experience as a Line Producer on an animated TV series.

General Duties:
Resource management across all project departments. This includes managing internal resources, working closely with heads of department to manage staff, keep schedules up to date and track crew holidays
Managing casting and voice records, including contract negotiations and child licensing
Working closely with the Head of Operations & Studio Producer to recruit crew for the project and negotiate their salaries and terms of contract in line with the best interest of the production's schedule and budget
Work closely with the Production Manager to maintain a clear and detailed overviews of all departmental schedules and delivery deadlines; including the setting of production priorities and defining milestones
Serve as the main point of coordination and contact between the day-to-day Production team and the project's senior management
Oversee and guide the Production team and guide departmental heads/supervisors to ensure high quality output and adherence to schedule
Generate internal weekly progress reports for Senior Management, in addition to reporting externally to collaborators and clients
Management of production budget; to include weekly reporting to the Studio Producer and keeping the forecast/actuals calculations consistently up to date and ensuring that the Accounts department have accurate information on a monthly basis to enable them to successful run payroll
Communicate clearly, confidently, and efficiently with the client and contributors, including taking the lead in client-facing meetings and act as the face of the studio
Be proactive in planning and troubleshooting any issues with the pipeline for production
Oversee conclusion of production, including asset and final delivery to client
Essential Skills and Experience:
Previous experience of producing or assisting in producing an animated TV series
Previous experience of casting and voice record management including child licensing requirements
Previous experience in recruiting crew and negotiating rates and contracts
Previous experience of managing a budget and updating and reporting on cashflows
Experience of working on a co-production would be a bonus
Excellent knowledge and understanding of a 2D animation pipeline (Toon Boom) from scripts through to Post, and particularly in pre-production
Excellent problem-solving skills and methodical working methods
Experience using Ftrack would be a bonus but not essential
