Lighting Director

Dublin

As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur's Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Lighting Director to join the team and help us in crafting the high caliber games our fans have come to expect.

LIGHTING DIRECTOR
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop the look and feel of Lighting that fit projects' overall stylistic guidelines.
Present concepts and ideas to the creative director and other departments, interpreting feedback and making recommendations where appropriate.
Communicate with art directors, designers, animation directors, and producers.
Provide direction and generate conceptual and creative ideas for the Lighting team. Balance visual satisfaction and gameplay clarity that communicate essential game information.
Understand ongoing and upcoming needs of the Lighting department.
Anticipate and solve technical challenges within given constraints and visual requirements.
Stay up-to-date and be aware of current trends of the game industry. Advocate for the technological needs of the team and push the technology forward.
Identify and set up best practices of Lighting workflow for Cinematic and Gameplay lighting.
Supervise and inspire lighting artists to produce outstanding work.
Optimization of Lighting for better performance without sacrificing quality of the end product.
Guide R&D to experiment with new industry technology and trends to improve the projects' visual quality and efficiency

REQUIREMENTS
Have successfully shipped AAA titles as a Lighting lead or director.
Experience in building and leading Lighting team.
Passion and ability to work as a positive, collaborative, enthusiastic, ambitious and contributing team member with a real desire to work with the team to find solutions.
Excellent presentation skills to inspire the Lighting team and to present goals and creative vision.
Adaptability to various aesthetic styles.
IMPORTANT NOTES
This is an On-site position.
You will be working with different teams so occasional travel to our other studios may be required.
