About The Role
You will provide a full and professional technical support service ensuring we carry out our production activities settling for nothing but the best. You will assist in the management of a range technical related duties but with an emphasis on the lighting, electrics and stage elements in our Main House Theatre. This will involve collaborating with visiting companies to make best use of available facilities and equipment. You will carry out maintenance of theatre spaces, equipment and production facilities as needed too. You will also work across technical disciplines to ensure stage, lighting, sound, AV and furniture logistics and maintenance related activities are completed effectively and efficiently. Important will be the ability to promote a safe working environment, ensuring ongoing compliance with H&S legislation and departmental policies and procedures.

You must have experience in a technical theatre role covering musicals, ballet and opera and be used to working with lighting, sound or AV equipment to operator and rigging level. This will have given you the ability to lead a skilled technical theatre team in a pressured working environment. You will have knowledge of ETC EOS, Unison, Paradigm and Sensor software as well as of LV electrical power distribution systems and D&B sound systems. Used to PAT testing, you will be familiar with H&S legislation too. You will also have experience of working on pre-recorded and live TV & radio shows, and events and conferences.

Highly organised and a good communicator you are effective at multi-tasking, solving problems and have an eye for detail. Reliable, your flexible approach will be complemented by good team working skills.
