The Opportunity.
Motion touches almost everything we do at Mammoth. We are looking for a Lead Motion Designer with 5+ years' experience to lead our growing team of talented animators based in our Belfast office.

Through your work, you must display an in-depth knowledge of corporate branding, and the ability to bring client brand stories to life, turning complex detail and ideas into easy at-a-glance motion graphics, and eye-catching digital multi-platform content.

You will work within our in-house Creative Studio, as part of the video production team. You'll focus on creating motion and animation of illustrations, kinetic type, icons, and 3D shapes, mixing footage and motion to bring abstract ideas to life.

The skills you need

A world-class showreel, including equally weighted 3D and 2D work
Highly proficient in After Effects & Cinema 4D
Comfortable leading a team and providing mentorship
Well-versed in working within brand guidelines
Work effectively with others to identify challenges and opportunities, and use creative and strategic thinking to generate solutions
Curious and enthusiastic about experimenting creatively and confident in putting your ideas forward
Develop storyboards for client review
Ability to work at pace to tight deadlines
Keep abreast of trends, new techniques, and skills to help develop our motion design offering
Excellent attention to detail, actively QA'ing own and team's work

Work autonomously in taking ownership of projects and leading team members
Well organised, comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously with a "get stuff done" mindset
Team player, with strong interpersonal skills, who can effectively manage others
Great communication skills and the self-assurance to use them
Ultimately, you value creativity above all else, and you are prepared to take risks needed to continually break through creative boundaries

It would be a real bonus if...
You have experience working within an agency environment, either on a freelance or full-time basis
You are skilled in other Adobe Creative Cloud applications, especially Illustrator and Photoshop
You have worked with Corporate brands, FMCG / food & drink, or brands with a global footprint
