Lens Flare TV are an independent kit hire and crewing company based in Manchester, providing equipment to leading broadcasters and indies across the country. We are looking for an experienced kit room technician to join our growing team on an initial 5 month fixed-term contract starting mid to late May 2021.

The role will be based at our new offices in Media City UK.

Key Responsibilities
Working with our warehouse manager and kit-room coordinator to prep equipment accurately
Loading and unloading of heavy equipment
Cleaning equipment thoroughly in accordance with our Covid-19 protocols
Reporting any technical or maintenance issues to the warehouse manager
Delivery and collection of equipment to clients, maintaining a professional customer service as the face of our company
General day to day maintenance of our warehouse
Keeping the prep and storage areas clean and tidy

Key Skills
Have experience working in a broadcast equipment rental environment or working in a technical role on a professional TV or drama production
Have a passion for the industry and enthusiasm to learn new skills within the role
Have good attention to detail when dealing with large equipment lists
Work well in a team environment

Requirements
Comprehensive knowledge of current camera formats, lenses, lighting and sound equipment commonly used in broadcast television
Full, clean UK driving license held for a minimum of 3 years

Details
Our office hours are 08:30 to 18:00, Monday to Friday (shift based) however some projects may require you to occasionally work outside of these hours, including weekends
Ideally, we would require the successful candidate to start late May/early June however this may be flexible depending on notice periods
