Junior Videographer and Editor

London

We are looking for a junior videographer/editor to join our busy Integrated Marketing Communications team. You will be responsible for bringing our brand to life with your exceptional creative skills across video and digital media.

Background

This is an exciting time to join the firm, and the design team. The junior videographer/editor is a role created to support the development and growth trajectory of the firm and play an integral role in the wider Integrated Marketing Communications team.
The design team has been part of an exciting video strategy to deliver the vision of the firm and bring sophistication and quality to all our creative thinking, design development and project activation. Positioning the firm as a leader in every aspect of audit, tax and consulting business services.
To enable this we need support to deliver on the growing number of video requests, joining the current team of 11 and reporting into the Head of Design.
Supporting our videographer and two other motion designers, while also working alongside our team of graphic designers, this role is highly varied, working on projects from across the business. As the successful candidate you will be able to keep a cool head as you embed your creativity on projects within the framework of the global visual brand refresh.
You will have the opportunity to develop your skillset, managing a wide portfolio of projects as well as your communication skills when proactively managing multiple stakeholders.
You will be supporting RSM's global vision to be the adviser of choice to middle market business leaders. Internally, collaboration with peers and stakeholders will be key to delivering excellence, with a single clarifying thought which guides all our decisions, behaviours, values and actions, 'the power of being understood'.
This is a role where you need to be highly motivated, inquisitive, adaptable and an excellent communicator, with the confidence to challenge the status quo and bring the outside in. You will also have a strong desire to understand the bigger picture, with the ability and confidence to ask the questions in order to tell our brand story through your video work.

Responsibilities

Collaborate on multiple projects of varying complexities, identifying and developing best practice for effective communication of messages through video;
Working alongside multi-disciplinary teams to ensure solutions meet with our strategic marketing and design objectives. In particular, the social, podcast and digital marketing team to ensure delivery requirements are met and help develop our video status through online platforms;
Supporting the current videographer with creating storyboards to define video messaging and structure;
Work with the motion design team to support the new global brand guidelines to create visual elements, illustrations, charts and infographics which effectively communicate our key messages.

What we are looking for

You are self-motivated, goal oriented, have strong creative judgement and a great communicator.
Have a keen eye for detail.
An ability to organise work within an existing design and job booking process, balancing multiple projects and priorities to meet deadlines.
Collaborative and creative.
You're pioneering, curious and not afraid to take risks to keep on top of industry trends - we want to be ahead of our competition.

What experience you need

At least 1 years' industry experience.
A good understanding of what makes communications effective.
Previous experience working with visual identities.
A strong portfolio/showreel demonstrating a range of visual skills and awareness of industry trends.
A good understanding of all key delivered channels across digital, social and video.
Strong filming, editing and photography skills.
Experience in operating cameras in a variety of environments.
Professional knowledge and full understanding of Adobe CC including Premiere Pro and After Effects. Photoshop and Illustrator are a bonus but not essential.
Basic motion design skills, with experience working with essential graphics.
Manage time effectively, to multi-task and meet deadlines.
