Own It is the flagship brand from BBC Children's, which was set up to help children aged 8-12 to thrive and be healthy online. Working with charity partners and teams across the BBC we offer skills, inspiration and advice to help young people lead happy and fulfilling online lives.

Own It is in an exciting period of expansion, as we get set to launch an innovative new app alongside our existing website and brand. The app will sit on children's smartphones to offer up Own It content as a timely and beneficial intervention, supporting the child's well being just when he or she needs it most.

Role Responsibility
The Junior Researcher works as part of the creative team and will help research and develop ideas. You will also contribute to the delivery of the content.
You will suggest and research topics and stories for the project ensuring all facts are accurate.
Liaising with contributors for Own It including working with Influencers
Support the creative team with any filming of content.

Are you the right candidate?
You don't need to have any qualifications to apply, we are looking for someone who is passionate to join the BBC and has a knowledge and interest in Children's content.
You should also be confident using social media and digital skills.
Have great verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information to the creative team.
Ability to work on own initiative but confident to escalate where necessary.
