Job Summary

MTV Creative has an exciting 11/12 month contract opportunity as Junior Promo Producer!

MTV UK Creative is a fast moving department with a high turnover of short-form work. The department is responsible for creative output of MTV UK 10 pack of channels - MTV channels in Russia, Australia and Hungary, MTV Live feed for all MTV international clusters and 5* part of Channel 5 family. Content output ranges from promos, design and packaging to branding on the ground live events, creating gfx identity for properties across the wider international business and creating high profile multiplatform marketing campaigns for show launches.
Working within the UK Creative team, the main responsibilities include concept development, scripting and editing multi channel promos as well as reversioning existing and international material for MTV. Excellent scripting and editing skills are required. An understanding of After effects and design would be preferred.
Knowledge of MTV and Channel 5 brands and a broad understanding of our schedule, will be needed to produce fresh and unexpected ideas for on air promotions. Knowledge of our competitors, and the wider UK television multi channel landscape, is also important.

A good overall knowledge of the TV and post-production environment will ensure the ability to work under considerable pressure in a fast moving and very creative department.

Key Responsibilities
§Conceptualize and contribute ideas to promote MTV's broad spectrum of shows beyond linear platforms
§Re-versioning International promo material to MTV UK specification.
§Script and produce promos.
§Self edit and version promos on Premiere Pro
§Directing voiceovers and overseeing audio mixing
§Develop a very good knowledge of the MTV and Digital brands and an excellent understanding of the MTV UK schedule in order to come up with ideas for promoting it that are fresh and unexpected.
§Work to agreed budgets and timelines for each project.
§Work to tight deadlines and under pressure to deliver consistently strong promotional ideas.
§To work with, on occasion, senior team members and help with their projects.

Role-Specific Skills/Attributes
§To have some evidence of cutting, scripting and shooting skills and in and some sample promos
§Good script writing skills and a knowledge and of post production, audio, VO, graphic design & animation
§To be competent at supervising online edits
§Proficient at Premiere Pro
§Basic Aftereffects skills desirable
§Knowledge of MAC and PC software
§Excellent problem solving and the ability to work under pressure in a very creative department
§Ability to work within a creative team and to interact in a friendly and professional way with other departments and outside clients
§Must be able to demonstrate up to date music and entertainment knowledge and enthusiasm for our programmes and brands.
§Contribute a strong creative style and voice to a brief that will enhance the brand.
A keen eye for details and ensure all work is delivered to the highest standards
