Junior Production Manager

Nature and Scope:

The Production Department is a key department within the agency working closely with creative and post-production to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

The Junior Production Manager is an integral role within the Production department, reporting directly to the Production Manager. With numerous projects in production at any one time, the role is extremely varied and would suit somebody who is happy to work in a high pressure and changing environment. The ability to juggle multiple shoots is essential. You must be highly organised with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. The ability to think strategically and problem solve is key.

Experience of working on both long form and short form content is desirable. With numerous global clients we would be looking for a candidate who has experience setting up shoots abroad. At least 3 years experience is required for this role.

For the right candidate there will be the opportunity to develop into the role of Production Manager.

Principal Accountabilities:

- Managing shoots with the support of the Production Manager.
- Creating budgets for shoots and updating cost managers.
- Managing other members of the production team.
- Setting up shoots - booking crews, technical equipment, travel & accommodation etc.
- Liaising with local fixers to book crews and resources for foreign shoots.
- Ensuring that NDAs are issued to key crew as and when required.
- Creating call sheets, ensuring that all insurance documentation and permissions are in place prior to shoots.
- Application of child licenses.
- Clearance of third party materials prior to shoots - archive footage, stills, newspapers, artwork etc.
- Manage and collate production paperwork such as contributor release forms, location release forms, call sheets, scripts etc.
- Distributing risk assessments.
- Ensuring that all relevant PPE is ordered and distributed to crews ahead of shoots.
- Working closely with the post-production department to ensure that rushes are returned from shoots safely in line with the company workflow.
- Producing post-production paperwork as required such as music cue sheets and post production scripts.
- Booking translators.
- Attending shoots when required.
- Having an understanding of the finance process both internally and externally. Ensuring that all suppliers and freelancers understand the Shoot the Company finance system and follow it accordingly.

- A positive attitude towards problem solving is a must for this role.
- Detail orientated, organised and good time management is essential.
