JOB SPECIFICATIONJob Title: Junior Production ManagerContract: 10 months (maternity cover)Job PurposeTo provide accurate, effective and timely production and client management support to the company.Works with and assists the Head of Production and Company Directors with the setting up of resources for shoots as appropriate. Managing projects and clients from pre-production through to post-production and final delivery. Entering financial information into manual spreadsheets of costs where relevant. Working with the post-production team to be across what films are being produced in the edit. Reporting Lines and Key Relationships• Works to the Head of Production and Company Directors • Works with all members of the team. ContextWe specialise in the production and delivery of films for business. We have a wide range of corporate clients and produce broadcast content across all media, from television to mobile phones. We have an extremely diverse client base with companies such as McDonald's, Barclays, Serco, G4S and SABMiller. We produce content across all genres bringing styles such as observational documentary, animation and drama to the short form. We have eight staff based at our Head Office in London. Initially focussed within the UK, Shoot the Company has successfully won business globally and has various contacts around the world that we utilise as and when we need for our foreign shoots.Knowledge and ExperienceMinimum of 3 years experience in a production or account management roleExperience of setting up shoots across the UK and EuropeExperience of maintaining office and administrative systems, and of devising new systems where appropriateAbility to prioritise a conflicting workload efficiently and to maintain standards of accuracy and attention to detail when working to deadlines or changing prioritiesExperience of handling sensitive and confidential informationEffective time management and organisational skills and the initiative to work independentlyA demonstrable aptitude for detail and accuracy in all areasDemonstrable experience of managing clients whilst working across numerous projects at onceWorking knowledge of post-production processesExperience of working on short form content within a production company or agency is desirableSkills and BehaviourInterpersonal and communication skills sufficient to establish and maintain effective working relations with a wide range of internal and external contacts, and the ability to deal with contacts with tact and sensitivityAbility to work independently and as an integral part of a teamResilience and stamina to sustain performance when under pressure from a high volume of work and conflicting prioritiesFlexible approach to changing priorities and requirementsThe ability to demonstrate initiative and work flexibly and independently, without close supervision, referring to managers only where necessaryPro-active approach to self-development and adapting to new ways of working and improvements in production techniquesKey AccountabilitiesDistributes materials & information in a timely & effective mannerUses detailed knowledge of administrative procedures to support the teamProducing and distributing call-sheets for numerous shoots at onceCompleting production paperwork such as Insurance formsMaintenance of crew availability databaseExperience at setting up shoots throughout the UK and EuropeAbility to communicate with a range of personnel, such as clients, crews and other contactsEnsuring that all costs are recorded accurately into cost reports and reported regularly to the Production AccountantManaging petty cash for shootsResponsible for receiving all invoices from crew and passing them on to the Production Accountant for sign offAssimilate self into team quickly & effectivelyManages time, prioritises effectively & re-visits to ensure follow-through where necessaryConfident & effective communicator & quickly builds rapport with all contactsDemonstrates initiative & is enthusiastic about adopting new ways of working Ensuring that the general office space is kept neat and presentable at all timesBooking travel and transport as required
