Junior Production Executive

As a Junior Production Executive your role is to ensure the brands and Digital File traffic you are responsible for are produced and sent on time working to agreed schedules and to the correct specifications.

This is an initial 6 month fixed term contract opportunity.

What will you be doing?

External

- Chasing all advertising material via agencies or clients and keeping a complete record of client liaising.
- Ensuring correct deadlines and specifications are issued to advertisers.
- Ensuring all material received is checked to the correct specification and sent to the printers on time.
- Ensuring all printers and varied suppliers are issued with clear, detailed instructions and flat plans and information.
- Ensure any changes (e.g. pagination) are communicated to all relevant parties (e.g. printers, paper suppliers)
- Ensuring Inserts are delivered on time and to the correct address and to an agreed specification as approved by the relevant printer / finisher.
- Making changes to clients artwork (e.g. resizing) in exceptional circumstances and these must be approved by the client.
- Liaising with 3rd party to suppliers work out schedules for our various Digital properties, uploading files to relevant destinations in relevant time frames to the required formats.

Internal

- Liaising with advertising sales and editorial teams to ensure you have the correct flatplan and that deadlines are met for both print and digital products
- Reporting up any difficulties to relevant Production team member
- Check quality of all production values within the printed brands on receipt of finished copies
- Being a technical resource for production queries for your sales team.
- Reporting any additional costs to the Group production Manager where applicable.
- Developing an understanding of the complete production process, including all aspects of the digital workflow.
