It has offices in West London and Bristol. Founded in 1993, it has established an outstanding reputation for producing popular and innovative programmes across programming genres of Entertainment, Factual Entertainment, Documentaries, Daytime and Features.Summary of role: As the Junior Production Accountant you will work closely with the Senior Production Accountant and Production Managers to support the smooth running of the finance element of the production and help ensure accurate reporting for the production's financial position. With the Management Accountant you will ensure the accuracy of month end and forecast reporting and that the correct financial procedures and policies are followed.The role is based in Bristol with occasional need to visit our London office (initially home-based).Key Responsibilities:Production Accounting• Review Cost Managers and liaise with Senior Production Accountant to ensure that:o Estimates to complete production are itemised as appropriate and are a true reflection of expected costso Under/overspends are fully explained and up to dateo Reconcile and post all petty cash transactions for each production• Provide support to Production Managers in completing cost reports• Provide support where necessary to new/Junior Production Managers regarding cost monitoring and accounting procedures and requirements• Control over Production petty cash, setting up petty cash payments and checking and posting reconciled receiptsFinancial Managemento Preparation of production and other information for monthly financial reporting to include maintenance and posting of internal rechargeso Control of credit card reconciliations and postingso Preparation of Schedule D journals, and liaison with outsourced Schedule D payroll providero Purchase ledger work, co-ordinating supplier invoices and payments, and liaising between production and financeSkills, knowledge and experience:• Working knowledge of accounting procedures and principles• Experience of PMI or another similar integrated Production Management/Finance system would be beneficial• Good Excel skills are essential• Knowledge of TV industryDesirable• Working toward a professional accounting qualificationPerson specification• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with finance and non-finance staff member at all levels• Inquisitive and proactive natureDEADLINE@ FRIDAY 29th JANUARY 2021
