What you will do

To consistently generate fresh, original and brand-defining promos, executed with programme, originated and design content.
Working into the Creative Manager and liaising with channel Marketers, to ensure that all work is delivered on brief and adheres to the channels brand guidelines but at the same time stands out and engages the target audience
Demonstrates an understanding of the different channel brands, content, target consumers, and growth strategies; ensuring that creative work fits the task in hand
Considers target audiences, campaign objectives and commercial targets when formulating creative responses, in order to maximise ratings.
To ensure consistent creative standards and approaches across the channel brands, e.g. consistent personality, tone of voice, and executional attributes for on-air promotions
Works effectively with colleagues at all levels and fosters strong working relationships within the team and across the company as a whole.
Capable of effectively negotiating challenging and difficult creative discussions in a positive and constructive way.
Living and embracing UKTV's values, collaborating with colleagues and championing ¿best practise¿ approaches across all creative areas.
Is well-organised with a keen eye for detail and successfully juggles multiple projects, prioritising across several channels.
Develops new, innovative and creative solutions to business and departmental challenges.
Takes the initiative to propose and 'own' solutions; involving and aligning other stakeholders in a timely fashion.
Maintains a high degree of self-motivation and autonomy, taking the initiative and operating independently against agreed objectives; involving stakeholders accordingly.
Takes a savvy approach maximising UKTV's budgets and resources.
Has an understanding of market rates / costs (creative services) and production techniques / capabilities to ensure work presented is achievable within campaign budget.
Proactively responds to campaign and channel performance, identifying issues and opportunities, and driving change.
Has a good understanding of UKTV's strategy and how this role contributes to it.
Directly impacts the audience by creating promos which drive viewers to our content.
Ensures that UKTV Creative is a key enabler in realising key business, brand and marketing objectives.
Ensures that all creative work is underpinned by a fertile and strategically-relevant creative idea.
Ensures that all executional work remains true to the creative idea and brand identity, and is consistent across all on and off-air mediums.
Who you are

Enthusiasm and passion for TV, production and creative.
A high standard of industry-level editing experience, specifically using Avid software.
Exceptional creative skills, with the necessary tools to creatively work with others across all media (on air, off air, design and branding).
A proven ability to generate original and brand defining copy, from longer scripts to succinct taglines.
Knowledge of receiving, interpreting and responding effectively to creative briefs.
Experience of constructively understanding, executing and reacting to feedback from the senior creative team as well as Marketing stakeholders.
Strong relationship management and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across a number of departments and services.
Expert knowledge of the creative development and production process; on and off air
Takes a proactive and flexible approach to work and is comfortable with a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities.
A team player that is happy to share ideas, take constructive feedback from teammates and share or take on additional workload when required.
An excellent communicator with a proven ability to inspire trust and confidence, and influence up to a senior level, both internally and externally.
Has the ability to generate great ideas and the energy and vision to execute those great ideas to their full potential.
Possesses the drive and passion to creatively stand out from the crowd and a refuses to accept work that is second best.
Experience in a creative role within a television broadcaster, successfully launching a variety of acquired and commissioned content, across a portfolio of channels and genres.
Experience of directing on-air promos and/or TV ads beneficial.
