Channel 4's A Place in the Sun is looking for a Junior Casting Researcher to join the casting team from Mid February. Initially the contact is for 3 months but likely to be extended for the right candidate.

You must be passionate about TV and be sure of your ability to find the most engaging characters. You should be confident on the phone, exceptionally organised and eager to learn. You must be a people person.

The office is based in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire so you must be willing to commute here. It's a 15 minute walk from Chorleywood tube/mainline railway station. Once up and running you will typically be in the office 3-4 days per week and on location filming 1-2 days per week. Filming takes place throughout the UK so you must have a valid driving licence as you will need to be able to drive to carry out some of the role's key requirements. A hire car will be provided.

This could suit someone who is new to casting or someone who has less than two years experience. Preference will be given to those with shooting (on XF305) and editing experience (Premier Pro) as this is part of the job requirement however training will be provided.

Key elements of the role include: considering applications to be on the show, shooting and editing screen tests and home visits, the ability to prioritise the workload and multi tasking.
