Through a tailored approach to each project, we bring a fun, helpful and flexible attitude to work, whilst utilising the most up to date technology to deliver outstanding results.The RoleThe Role will require you to report directly to the Project Managers and ensure that all technical requirements are in hand for any allocated projects ahead. You will be responsible for rigging and (at times) operating the equipment, suggesting the best technical workflows for the event and making sure that all in-house equipment is de-rigged, organised and kept in a good working order. You will also be expected to research and suggest new technology, new equipment and new workflows to keep Flux's engineering department as a market leader.ResponsibilitiesMaintenance of equipmentKit preparation for eventsRigging & operating video production / live streaming equipment at eventsEditing basic video packagesData management - importing recordings from eventsResearch new technology to stay at the forefront of the industryRequired skills and experienceExperience with either, video production or audio engineeringStrong understanding of signal flow & interconnecting pieces of video or audio equipmentBasic IT networkingStrong computer skillsTroubleshootingResilient under pressureAble to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyLearn new technologies quickly2:1 in a relevant degree or a proven practical applicationOther requirements:Passport to allow international travel for workFull UK driving licenseDesirable skills and experienceEditing packages: Premiere CC or Final Cut XLive streaming technologies: FFMPEG / AVCONV / OBS / WowzaUnderstanding of video codecs, resolutions & formatsUnderstanding of vision mixing and live video productionUnderstanding of cameras: exposure / white balance / output formatsExperience working in a live / high pressure environmentExperience with both Windows and Mac operating systems.Experience with live video platforms Facebook / YouTube / Periscope / TwitchTraining provided:Production gallery set up including: vision mixers, format convertors, comms, external recorders, scopes and monitoringCamera set up and operationVision mixing and directingLive streaming: encoders / video compressionContent Delivery NetworksServer architectureProject managementHours: Office 10-6 Monday - Friday, work outside of these hours will be required on events.
