We are excited to be seeking a part time Junior Accountant to join our team, reporting directly to the company Head of Finance and Production Management. The UK subsidiary is currently in a build-up phase and you will be the one implementing the local processes almost from the beginning. As the local business grows, so will the organization, thus giving the right person opportunities to continue to grow with the company.

You will be responsible for organizing, coordinating and supervising the day-to-day accounting operations and acting as the local administrational support. With exposure across the business from all aspects of finance, business affairs, production executives and senior management the responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- The role supports the UK based financial accounting team in the areas of cash and accounts payable management
- Assist the production team with management of the credit card, petty cash and pre-paid cards; recording and coding receipts and -completion of monthly bank reconciliations in multiple currencies
- Liaise with external accounting firm
- Recording and payment of employee expenses in multiple currencies
- Assistance with daily operations and month-end closing process
provide senior level administration support to the team and manage the daily, weekly and monthly bookkeeping
- Maintaining the general ledger
- preparing monthly management accounts
- Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Cost reporting centrally accounted projects
- Managing the cost reporting process of shows with Production
- Preparation of the quarterly VAT returns, knowledge of EU VAT a bonus
- Liaise with senior management to develop new systems for monitoring and controlling all costs

The candidate MUST come from an Entertainment (Television/Radio/Film) or media sector background. Production accounting experience is an advantage. Exceptional data entry skills with a keen eye for detail. Mastery of Microsoft excel essential. Experience with Quickbooks and Production Management Accounting software is preferred, additional software programs a bonus. This role would suit an enthusiastic, diligent and thorough individual who has been working within an accounting department, carrying out tasks such as bookkeeping, VAT returns, payroll, self- assessments and reconciling accounts. Flexible time working arrangements available.

Please confirm you have a bookkeeping qualification & at least 1 year experience in a finance administration / bookkeeping type role. This is a part-time position in our Vauxhall office with a minimum of 20 hours per week (with the opportunity of additional hours depending on the number of projects on). Office hours are usually 9:00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday and we are flexible on when hours are worked. We anticipate this role growing to a full-time position quickly.
