Climax Studios was established nearly 30 years ago, we have an extensive history in developing all kinds of digital experiences across all formats, and we have won multiple awards along the way.We have a new state of the art studio located in the heart of the beautiful Albert Dock in the city centre of Liverpool and we are looking for a fully onsite IT Support Technician to join our team here at Climax Studios. This position requires a tenacious self-starter who enjoys problem solving complex and difficult issues using a mixture of software and experience. You will work closely with the IT Manager to maintain user's up time and support on-site and remote workers.We are unable to consider applications from overseas candidates, requiring a visa at this time. The successful candidate will need to be based in close proximity to the studio (and essential infrastructure equipment) and have their own transport.Responsibilities:Support users with requests via the ticketing system, while keeping IT security at the forefront of every decisionReplacing and maintaining hardware for user's PC'sWork alongside the IT Manager to ensure planned upgrades are implemented with minimum downtimeUpdating documentation of working practicesUpgrade different types of hardware and software with minimal impact to usersSetting up new user's accounts and profiles and dealing with password issuesMonitoring and maintaining computer systems and networksRequirementsUnderstanding of basic Network ProtocolsHands on knowledge of changing hardwareProblem solving skills and the ability to resolve issues swiftly and effectivelyAbility to produce clear, concise and accurate documentation and job notesThe ability to articulate at a technical level appropriate to the circumstancesPrevious experience in IT Support - at least one year, in a role providing services to external customersExperience of working or supporting clients in the games industry a plusExcellent understanding of Active Directory & O365 AdministrationQualities and attitude:Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise and manage tasksAbility to explain technical issues to non-technical usersAnalysis and problem solving skillsEffective communicator, both written and verbalExcellent customer service skillsNatural interest in IT with the desire to stay abreast of new solutions and technologiesQualifications & training:Educated to at least A Level or equivalentITIL foundation certificate advantageous but not essentialBenefitsRegular social eventsPensionFresh fruit and snacksA friendly, focused, ambitious and relaxed working environmentOngoing training and development, with career progressionDiscount card for all the shopping centre storesGreat seafront location, a short walk from the rail station, bars, restaurants, coffee shopsGroup Private Medical Insurance provided by BUPAGroup Life InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgrammePrivate Dental InsuranceGroup Income ProtectionCompany Pension SchemeCycle To Work SchemeEye-Care VouchersPerksBring your doggo to work!
