We are looking for a colleague to work for TRT World as an Interview Producer in London.


Job Description

• Participate in regular editorial meetings to identify topics for interview segments,

• Book suitable guests for daily and breaking news events,

• Research interview topics and individual guests,

• Produce background briefs for presenters and Programmes teams,

• Maintain a strong personal network of contacts while building and updating TRT World's guest Rolodex,

• Stay updated on local,national, and international current events, as well as online news sources,

• Preferred required to write news copy and scripts to accompany pieces and use newsroom desktop editing technology to edit pictures and interview clips,

• Compiling information about incoming guests in digital format.


Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in television/digital news,

• Experience in guest bookingin international news,

• Excellent contacts and proven experience in conducting guest interviews,

• Inquisitive mind, good telephone manner, and ability to convince guests to appear,

• Ability to creatively develop interviews that inform and engage audiences,

• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments to secure logistical bookings,

• Capability to work long hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays,

• High level of proficiency in both written and spoken English,

• Strong listening and negotiating skills,
